Gail Chasey is serving her 8th term as state representative in New Mexico, representing a diverse and progressive Albuquerque district that includes the University of New Mexico. Representative Chasey has a Ph.D. in special education and began a second career as an attorney after graduating from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2008. Gail works as a sole practitioner, handling a variety of cases, including criminal defense and personal injury. She is married to David Norvell and has two sons, one stepson, three step-daughters, and four grandchildren.
Gail currently serves as Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, and as a member on both the House rules and Order of Business Committee and the House Health and Human Services Committee.
