Debbie Sariñana is an educator and military veteran with deep ties to House District 21. She grew up, raised her family, and now teaches in the district.
For the past 15 years, Debbie has taught mathematics and science at schools in Albuquerque and, today, teaches at Manzano High School, her alma mater.
Outside her classroom duties, she has assisted with a number of innovative education initiatives—including a credit recovery program that helps Native American students graduate.
She is the proud mother of three adult children, whom she raised as a single parent with the help of her family.
Representative Sariñana currently serves on the House Education Committee and the House Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Committee.
